 GROWING WITH THE PROGRAM

Growing with the Program

TASP is not limited by traditional teaching methods and structures. It seeks to provide a more home-like environment where one-on-one attention is available. During the year, social skills, conflict resolution, leadership, citizenship and other skills are offered at age-appropriate levels.

For fifth and sixth grade students, TASP offers a Bridge Program which prepares them to become leaders among their peers and to adjust more easily to the emotional and academic transition that is required by the move to middle school. These older students are the pool from which we choose our student workers. Many of our graduates stay involved in TASP through their high school and college years as tutors and student teachers. They are the role models any parent would want for their children.
